Barrier Requirements
Light and UV barrier: Vitamin C, retinol, niacinamide, peptides and botanical extracts degrade under UV light. PET/MET-PET/PE metallized laminate or aluminium foil structures provide full UV protection; this is mandatory for active cosmetic formulations.
Chemical resistance: High alcohol content (perfumes, hydroalcoholic solutions), high-pH products (hair dyes, bleach-based cleaners) and volatile oils can degrade standard PE films over time. MyPlast uses high-strength LDPE or chemically resistant co-extruded PE inner layer for these products.
Leak-proof sealing: Leak-proof sealing of liquid cosmetic products is critical — leakage during transit damages consumer trust and brand reputation. In spout-cap doypack products, seal integrity is verified by ASTM F2825 leak testing.

For sample sachets, MOQ is 50,000 pieces with 12-15 business day lead time. Sample sachet production runs on high-speed HFFS lines at 250-400 sachets/minute. For launch campaigns, 100,000+ piece planning is recommended. Standard volumes are 2 ml, 5 ml, 7 ml, 10 ml.
Which structure is used for high-alcohol cosmetics?
For perfumes, hydroalcoholic cleansers and sanitisers, PET/MET-PET/PE or PET/Aluminium/PE structure is recommended. High-strength co-extruded LDPE inner layer is stable against alcohol penetration. Standard PE weakens over time in alcohol-containing products; therefore MyPlast recommends a specialised inner layer for high-alcohol formulations.
